Sons Of The Forest Players Are Using The Notebook To Sled Down Mountains

Sons of the Forest is having a hell of an early access release. In just 24 hours the Game sold 2 million copies. In a week, it went from 18,000 positive reviews to nearly 50,000. As of the time of this writing, Sons of the Forest is Steam’s fifth most popular Game in terms of concurrent player count. However, the survival horror Game is still in early access, which means you can expect a fair share of bugs and glitches. One recently discovered bug seems to turn the player into an invincible sled that lets them slide down mountains without taking a single scratch. Related: Sons Of The Forest Players Have Fallen In Love With NPC Helper Kelvin As shown by IGN video producer Mard Medina, all you have to do is open your notebook from a moving start. Having the notebook open places the player in a state where they can take no damage, including damage that would normally be applied from falling. Curiously, the notebook also seems to remove almost all friction from the player, all

Elden Ring Anniversary Comes And Goes Without Any DLC Announcement

Elden Ring celebrated its one-year anniversary on Saturday with a live event in Stockholm Sweden. The event had prize giveaways, a PvP tournament, Elden Ring trivia, and more. However, it was somewhat more low-key than many fans had expected for 2022's Game of the year, and the night ended without the much-anticipated DLC announcement that many were hoping for. To be fair to the fans, there was a lot of reason to hope for a major DLC announcement. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki said during his acceptance speech at The Game Awards that there was more he wanted to do with Elden Ring, and datamines from late last year hinted at new maps and even a ray tracing update. Then last month there were updates to the playtest branch, and then in February, updates to Steam's database contained images, prices, and sample text. Combine that with an in-person event and Bandai Namco revealing Elden Ring had surpassed 20 million units sold, and it just seemed like the stars were aligning for

Overwatch 2 Bug Is Changing Player Usernames For No Reason

The latest Overwatch 2 maintenance update seems to have had some unintended consequences, with users reporting that their usernames were changed for seemingly no reason at all. One user was even hit with a minus 75 percent XP penalty, and they have no idea why. If this has affected you, then rest easy - fans seem to have found the cause. For some reason, the recent update toggled "streamer mode" on for some players, giving them a nonsense battletag that is typically used to avoid stream snipers. This can just as easily be switched off in options, but it isn't clear why the update is having these strange effects in the first place. One Of Cyberpunk 2077's Most Popular Mods Lets You Sit Anywhere

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a big year in 2023. Something that feels strange to say considering more than two years have passed since what might well be the rockiest launch in gaming History . Despite the seemingly massive DLC that's coming soon, the residents of Night City will still need to rely on this nifty new mod if they want to sit wherever they like. You'd think a futuristic Game the size of Cyberpunk that imagines how the world will look 50 years from now would let you sit on all of its seats so you can take it all in, but no. There are very few opportunities to actually sit down, have a virtual rest, and look around in Night City, and no DLC is going to fix that. RELATED: Cyberpunk 2077's Sequel Should Focus On Cyberpsychosis Thankfully, just like so many other things in Cyberpunk, there's now a mod for that. Mods don't always need to improve visuals or add Thomas the Tank. Sometimes they can add an overlooked feature as simpl

Hollow Knight Fans Are Using The Watcher's Spire Telescope To Watch Shrek

Hollow Knight has been around since 2017, and it's almost constantly being tinkered with by a dedicated community that still loves playing through the title to this day (we have to do something while we wait for Silksong). Most of its hidden secrets and development quirks have been found over the 6 years since release, but a new discovery involving a telescope found in the Watcher's Spire in the City of Tears has the Game 's subreddit in stitches. The telescope in question is rather inconsequential in the grand scheme of the Game , so we can forgive you for potentially forgetting about it or not even knowing it's there. To jog your memory, close to the top of the Watcher's Spire is a telescope you can inspect. Doing so gives you a full view of the City of Tears and not much else, but it's a neat way to view the entire area while adding a sprinkling of lore to the overall Game . LeBron James says Lakers' playoff push features '23 of the most important' games of his career

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had his All-Star Game outing cut short after hitting his hand on the rim in the first half on Sunday in Salt Lake City, but he still got to enjoy the festivities. First, as a captain going drafting against Giannis Antetokounmpo, and later during a celebration honoring him for setting the league's all-time scoring record earlier this month. Now, with both the record and All-Star Weekend in the rearview mirror, he can turn his attention to getting the Lakers back in the playoff picture.  "It's 23 of the most important games of my career, for the regular season," James said of the Lakers' remaining schedule. "That's the type of mindset that I have and I hope the guys will have coming off the break... I'm going to figure out ways to make sure I'm available and on the floor for every single one of these 23 games."  Exiting the All-Star br

Ranking Mac McClung's near-perfect NBA Dunk Contest, from tap-and-go slam to 540 walk-off

Mac McClung, the only G League player in History to even enter the NBA Dunk Contest, let alone win it, put on a show for the ages on Saturday night in Salt Lake City, nailing all four of his attempts on the first try. That's one of the things that has killed this contest: Guys bricking a bunch of attempts before finally putting one down. McClung was perfect , joining Spud Webb as the only players in History 6-foot-2 or shorter to card three 50s in a single contest.  Below, I'm going to rank McClung's four dunks, beginning at the end.  1. The walk-off McClung saved his best for last. Trey Murphy III was hanging around with some pretty impressive stuff of his own, but when McClung threw down this 540, as Draymond Green could be heard saying on the TNT broadcast, it was a wrap.  MCCLUNG SAID "IT'S OVER" 😮‍💨 pic.twitter.com/2J6DUeDXQY — Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) Feb

Ubisoft Will Reportedly Revive A "Neglected" Single-Player Series At E3 2023

Ubisoft reportedly has plans to revive a "neglected" single-player series at E3 2023. Before all of you Rayman fans start getting excited, it apparently has nothing to do with him. Earlier this week, Ubisoft confirmed that it plans to appear at E3 2023 and has "a lot of things to show". Considering we know most of the Game s that Ubisoft has in development right now, it's not hard to guess what most of those are and assume that there won't be many surprises, but the company apparently has plans to revive one of its single-player series. Related: Ubisoft Just Shadow Dropped The Sequel To One Of Its Best-Ever Game s This report comes from Insider Gaming, which put together a list of what we can expect to see from Ubisoft at E3 2023. Although most of the Game s on the list are pretty obvious like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, XDefiant, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Skull & Bones, and The Crew: Motorfest. The most exciting Game on the list is one t

Scarlet & Violet Patch Will Lower Wild Pokemon Density In Certain Areas

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet was in pretty rough shape when it launched. Bug fixes are officially coming though, and Nintendo has provided a long list of the next problems it will tackle. However, one issue will be resolved at the expense of certain areas being densely packed with Pokemon and people. The 1.2.0 update will go live in late February, and one of the biggest issues it will address is a bug that closes the Game s when players visit certain locations. A major issue that needs to be fixed, but as has been highlighted by Centro Leaks, it comes at a cost. The affected areas will include fewer wild Pokemon and people when the patch is applied. RELATED: Steel-Type Pokemon Should Have Been Weak To Electric This Whole Time THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY “As a result of this fix, there may be a reduction of Pokemon and people displayed in certain towns or in the wild,” Pokemon's patch notes read. World Hippo Day (February 15th)

Quick facts When is it? Every February 15th Tagged as Animals What are the hashtags? #HippoDay #WorldHippoDay Have we missed something? Fancy waddling in a mud bath, getting angry with some tourists and yawning a lot while opening your mouth really, really wide? Then World Hippo Day, a chance to celebrate these water-loving creatures, sounds like the perfect occasion for you! History of World Hippo Day Experts believe that the modern-day hippo evolved in Africa around 8 million years ago. While they bear a resemblance to horses and pigs, these semi-aquatic mammals are in fact most closely related to whales, dolphins and porpoises – no wonder they’re so good at holding their breath underwater! These days there are only two types, the bog-standard hippopotamus and the smaller pygmy hippopotamus, but a few other now extinct species could be found across Europe and in Madagascar as little as 1,000 years ago. Hippos are now most common in countries such as Zambia and
