Man Utd make decision on Victor Lindelof contract extension
Manchester United have triggered their 12-month extension clause in the contract of centre-back Victor Lindelof, 90min understands. Lindelof's deal had been due to expire next summer and he would have been able to discuss a free transfer overseas as early as Monday, but United have now moved to put an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future. Sources have confirmed to 90min that United have activated their clause and Lindelof is now under contract until 2025. The Sweden international, who is currently out injured, has racked up 249 appearances for United since joining from Benfica in 2017 and is now set to add to that tally in the coming months.
