Ubisoft Will Reportedly Revive A "Neglected" Single-Player Series At E3 2023

Ubisoft reportedly has plans to revive a "neglected" single-player series at E3 2023. Before all of you Rayman fans start getting excited, it apparently has nothing to do with him.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft confirmed that it plans to appear at E3 2023 and has "a lot of things to show". Considering we know most of the Games that Ubisoft has in development right now, it's not hard to guess what most of those are and assume that there won't be many surprises, but the company apparently has plans to revive one of its single-player series.

This report comes from Insider Gaming, which put together a list of what we can expect to see from Ubisoft at E3 2023. Although most of the Games on the list are pretty obvious like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, XDefiant, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Skull & Bones, and The Crew: Motorfest. The most exciting Game on the list is one that we don't actually know anything about, just that it's reportedly a revival of a "neglected" single-player series.

Beyond confirming that it isn't Rayman, Insider Gaming doesn't have many more details on what series the Game comes from, although there are quite a few options considering how many series Ubisoft has neglected lately. Trials, Call of Juarez, Brothers in Arms, and Driver all come to mind pretty quickly, but there are other options like Grow Home and Watch Dogs that could also fit the bill.

One option that jumps to mind is the 2D Prince of Persia game that was reported about last year. We've heard nothing about it since it was leaked and it would make sense to release considering the Sands of Time remake has been repeatedly pushed back since its initial reveal.

As for what Ubisoft apparently won't show at the event, Games like the Splinter Cell remake, Far Cry 7, and Beyond Good & Evil 2 are all expected to be shown off "at a later point". The Sands of Time remake is also notably absent from the report, which implies that it's still got a long way to go.
