Dragon Ball Fans Are Roasting Budokai Tenkaichi's Weird Intro

Dragon Ball fans are taking a look back at Budokai Tenkaichi's iconic intro and roasting some of the weirder aspects of it, like Frieza's walking animation and Goku and Vegeta briefly turning into bobbleheads. Earlier this month, Bandai Namco finally did what every Dragon Ball fan has been waiting for since 2007 and confirmed that a new Budokai Tenkaichi Game is in development. Sadly, beyond a brief clip of Goku going Super Saiyan Blue, there's not much we actually know about the Game . That hasn't stopped the excitement (and fear for our controllers), however, as fans are taking a look back at the series to help pass the time. The pain of the Dallas Mavericks allowing Jalen Brunson to leave for the Knicks seems to get worse every day. As Brunson and the Knicks are thriving, the Mavericks, after a desperate play to trade for Kyrie Irving, are spiraling way out of contention and perhaps into the lottery.  Now Brunson is twisting the knife even deeper.  In an interview with Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes, Brunson revealed that he wanted to stay for the long haul with the Mavericks, who reportedly could've had him for half of what he got from the Knicks.  From Haynes: Prior to the 2021-22 season, he was eligible for a four-year, $55.5 million extension. It was an offer Brunson's camp would have accepted if the Mavericks made it, sources tell B/R. In January 2022, his representatives tried to initiate dialogue on getting a deal done, but the Mavericks resisted. Brunson began cementing himself as the second-best player on the tea

Each Sunday, Pitchfork takes an in-depth look at a significant album from the past, and any record not in our archives is eligible. Today, we revisit Shakira’s big crossover record that revealed her fascinating, idiosyncratic songwriting and created a rift among her fans. In early 2001, Shakira was holed up on a farm in Uruguay, surrounded by her close family and a herd of cows. She’d just spent the last three years touring and performing across Latin America, establishing herself as a pop goddess with a rockera edge. Now she was convalescing in a quieter place, trying to write an album for an English-speaking audience that would somehow preserve the spirit of her trenchant pop-rock—all without forsaking the legion of Latin American fans that made her a pop luminary. It seemed to be an impossible task. Over the next year, Shakira would confront this challenge head-on, embracing the totality of transition.
