NBA Power Rankings: Knicks surge to No. 1; Kevin Durant-led Suns enter top five; Clippers in free fall

Say what you will about the New York Knicks, but it's hard not to root for them with the way they've been playing lately. Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle and, suddenly, Immanuel Quickley have the Knicks in the midst of a nine- Game winning streak -- the best in the league and enough to catapult them to the No. 1 spot in this week's Power Ran kings . The Knicks supplant the Milwaukee Bucks, who finally lost a game after 16 straight wins. The Denver Nuggets just quietly keep putting up wins, but they occupy the second spot this week due to the quality of the Knicks' opponents. Jumping into the top five are the new-look Phoenix Suns, who took home victories in their first three games with Kevin Durant this week. One of the low-key hilarious lines of the classic 1971 version of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory is delivered by Charlie's schoolteacher, played by a perfectly deadpan David Battley: "I've just decided to switch our Friday schedule to Monday, which means that the test we take each Friday on what we learned during the week will now take place on Monday before we've learned it. But since today is Tuesday, it doesn't matter in the slightest."
