Erik ten Hag confirms huge fitness boost for Man Utd ahead of Everton clash

Image
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed both Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans will be available for Saturday's clash with Everton, as he prepares to welcome back a whole host of injured stars. Both Rashford and Evans limped off during last weekend's defeat to Manchester City, heading into a treatment room which has been overflowing in recent weeks. However, Ten Hag has confirmed neither suffered anything serious and both Rashford and Evans will be back in the ranks on Saturday lunchtime for Everton's trip to Old Trafford. "That is the good news, they [Evans and Rashford] recovered after the derby," Ten Hag said. "So they are available. "For the rest it is the same squad, apart from Omari Forson. He dropped out. He has an injury." 90min Man Utd WhatsApp channel Looking to keep up to date with everything happening at Old Trafford?  Click this link  or scan the QR code below to follow 90min's Man Utd WhatsApp channel and turn on notifi...

Man Utd's flight to Newcastle cancelled ahead of Saturday evening clash

Image
The Manchester United first-team were forced to make alternative travel plans for Saturday's trip to Newcastle United after their flight was cancelled earlier in the day. The Red Devils return to Premier League action with a tough fixture up at St James' Park, and a win would see them move above Tottenham Hotspur into fifth place ahead of Spurs' meeting with Manchester City on Sunday. However, United's preparations have been less than ideal. After only arriving back from Turkey late on Wednesday after their Champions League trip to Galatasaray, Erik ten Hag's squad had their Saturday morning flight to the north-east of England cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Instead, United's travelling cohort will head up to Newcastle via coach - a journey which is expected to last around three hours. The UK is currently gripped by frosty conditions and snowy weather, with temperatures set to plummet down to -1c at St James' Park by the time Saturday's ma...

Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Christopher Nkunku will not feature in Chelsea's meeting with Newcastle United on Saturday as he urged fans to temper their immediate expectations of the Frenchman. Nkunku was back training on grass during the international break as he stepped up his return from a knee injury which forced him to undergo surgery during pre-season. Chelsea fans have started to get excited about Nkunku's imminent debut for the club but Pochettino had the unfortunate duty of confirming the wait for the France international will go on a little longer. "Still out," Pochettino said when asked for an update on Nkunku. "Last week, in few training sessions, still he's not fully recovered to be part of the tactical sessions. Now is about recovery." As 90min revealed earlier this month, Chelsea are aiming for Nkunku to start the Carabao Cup clash with Newcastle on 20 December, with the 26-year-old expected to feature off the bench in the weeks pri...
